This policy explains what personal information TEAM GTASELL collects, why, who we share it with, and the choices you have. What we collect
- When you register for a seminar or contact us: your name, email, phone number, how many people are attending, your home-buying timeline, and the residency status you choose on the form.
- At our events: whether you checked in, how many people came with you, and any walk-in registration details.
- When we work together: the information needed to help you buy, sell, lease or invest, such as property preferences and the details of a transaction.
- On this website: pages visited and how you arrived, through the cookies and tags listed below.
- Consent records: the exact wording you agreed to, the date and time, and the device and page used, so we can prove your consent.
How we use it
- To register you for seminars, send your check-in pass and reminders, and check you in at the door.
- To contact you by email, text and phone about seminars, listings and real estate services, as you agreed when you signed up.
- To provide real estate services and keep the records our brokerage and the law require.
- To show you our ads on other websites and apps, and to measure how our ads perform, using the cookies and tags described under Advertising and cookies below, and by matching your email and phone with Google and Meta.
Your residency status helps us tailor seminar content and advice, for example programs for newcomers. We never use it for advertising or to decide who sees our ads.
Messages from us, and how to stop them
Messages come from TEAM GTASELL's REALTORS® and assistants. To stop them: use the unsubscribe link in any email, reply STOP to any text, or tell us by email or phone. We act on requests within 10 days.
Advertising and cookies
We use Google and Meta (Facebook and Instagram) to market our seminars and services. We do not sell your information.
This website uses cookies and similar tags from third parties, including Google and Meta. They may collect information about your visits to this site and other sites, such as the pages you view and the ads you click, and use it to:
- show you our ads on other websites and apps, based on your earlier visits to this site,
- measure which ads lead to visits and registrations, and
- count visits so we can see which pages are useful.
Google and Meta handle this information under their own privacy policies.
Matching your contact details with Google and Meta
When you register or send us a form on this website, you agree that we may upload the email address and phone number you gave us to Google Ads and Meta to:
- show you ads about our seminars and services,
- stop showing "register now" ads to people who have already registered, and
- measure whether our ads led to registrations and event attendance.
Your details are scrambled (hashed) before they are sent. Google and Meta use them only to find matching accounts, and delete the ones that don't match. Only your email and phone are used: never your residency status, timeline or other details. You can opt out at any time, as explained below.
To opt out: visit Google Ads Settings and your Facebook or Instagram ad preferences, or opt out of interest-based ads from many companies at youradchoices.ca. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser. Email info@gtasell.com with the subject "No ads" and we will remove you from our ad lists within 10 days and stop using our tags to target ads to you where we can.
TEAM GTASELL Partners
"TEAM GTASELL Partners" means the professionals we work with and introduce clients to:
- Viva Mortgages: mortgage advice and pre-approvals
- Torchwood Law: real estate legal services
We share your name and contact details with a TEAM GTASELL Partner only when you ask us to, or when you tick the separate box agreeing to it. Each partner handles your information under its own privacy policy. We will add any new partner to this list before sharing anything with them. If we receive a referral fee or other benefit for an introduction, we will tell you before you agree to it.
Service providers
We use these companies to run our business. They handle your information on our behalf and only for that purpose: Lofty (our client database, emails and texts), Cloudflare (website and event check-in), Zoho (email), Calendly (appointment booking), Google and Meta (advertising and website analytics). Some of them store information outside Canada, mainly in the United States, where it may be accessible to authorities under those countries' laws.
Cookies and tags on this website
- Google Analytics: counts visits and shows which pages are useful. Reports are in aggregate.
- Google Ads: shows which ads led to form submissions.
- Meta Pixel: shows which Facebook and Instagram ads led to visits and registrations, and lets us show our ads to people who visited this site. Meta may also use this information to provide measurement and ad services.
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings.
How long we keep it
We keep your information while we are in contact with you or working together, and as long as our brokerage and the law require after that. Consent records are kept for at least 3 years after the last message we send you.
Your rights
You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, correct it, or withdraw your consent. Email info@gtasell.com or write to the address above. We may ask you to confirm your identity first. If we can't fully meet a request, for example because the law requires us to keep certain records, we will tell you why. If you have a concern we haven't resolved, you can contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada at priv.gc.ca.
Security
Only our team members who need your information can access it. Our systems use encrypted connections and sign-in protection. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to prevent loss and misuse.
When this policy is shared and changed
We may disclose personal information when the law requires it. When we change this policy, we post the new version on this page with the date it takes effect. If we want to use your information in a new way that you haven't agreed to, we will ask you first.
